The South African Gallery of Legends exists to recognize, honour and pay tribute to individuals and teams from South Africa who have attained extraordinary achievement, given distinguished service and or made major contributions to sports arts and culture domestically or internationally.

The purpose of the South African Gallery of Legends is to recognize and honor athletes, teams, and individuals who have made exceptional contributions in mainly sports arts and culture in South Africa.

February may be the month of love, but no love will be lost when Drickus du Plessis defends his title against Sean Strickland on February 8th, 2025. It’s not just about holding onto the belt—it's about proving that he’s a long-term force in the middleweight division, not just a fleeting champion. It's just amazing how quickly time goes by..It's been just over a year since we inducted our first Legends. @Prof Pitika Ntuli, Helen Sebidi, Noria Mabasa, Esther Mahlangu, @Abigail Kubeka and Anton Goosen. What a remarkable occasion. Then, barely a week after we hosted a hugely successful Ubuntu Festival at Freedom Park (SA). with a crowd of over 2000 people.
