SOUTH AFRICAN GALLERY OF LEGENDS SUPPORTS RICARDO MALAJEKI ON HIS JOURNEY TO JAPAN
The South African Gallery of Legends (SAGOL) was honoured to attend the official send-off for South African boxing star Ricardo Malajeki as he departed for Japan, where he will step into the ring on 27 September for an important international bout.
The event was filled with excitement, encouragement, and national pride as friends, supporters, and fellow boxing icons gathered to wish Ricardo success on this significant chapter of his career.
Among those present was Brian Mitchell, legendary South African boxer and 14-time World Champion, who shared words of encouragement and support for Ricardo as he prepares to represent South Africa on the international stage.
SAGOL proudly joins the boxing community in wishing Ricardo safe travels, a strong preparation, and every success in Japan. Your dedication, discipline, and fighting spirit continue to inspire the next generation of South African athletes.

What an unforgettable honour for the South African Gallery of Legends to attend the prestigious ceremony where Anton Goosen and other iconic artists were celebrated by the FAK on Friday
Standing in the presence of legends such as Rina Hugo, Carike Keuzenkamp, Laurika Rauch, and Anton Goosen was truly inspiring. Their music shaped generations, carried our stories, and continues to echo through South African culture.
A heartfelt congratulations to Anton Goosen Liedjieboer, a South Gallery of Legends Inductee, on this remarkable achievement — a tribute well deserved for a lifetime of contribution to our musical heritage.
And a special thank you to Laurika Rauch for sharing such a special moment with us. Your grace and legacy continue to shine.

A Night to Remember at Ditsong!
Thursday night we proudly launched the Legendary Women in the Arts Exhibition at the Ditsong Museum of Cultural History — a truly unforgettable celebration held in honour of Women’s month, recognising and uplifting South Africa’s exceptional women in the arts.
With strong media attendance, the evening was graced by Australian Ambassador HE Tegan Brink, friends from the Chinese Embassy, distinguished dignitaries, cultural leaders, and guests from diverse backgrounds.
One of the most moving moments was watching school children experience the presence and legacy of our six extraordinary Legends Noria Mabasa, Esther Mnguni, Esther Mahlangu, Gcina Mhlophe, Rebecca Matibe, and Helen Sebidi. Their stories, strength, and artistry lit up the room — inspiring a new generation.
A night of heritage. A night of unity. A night of celebrating phenomenal women.
